Artists of America
The artist has always been fascinated with history so the stories associated with the trunk of his wifes grandfather as it made its voyage across the Atlantic provided a fertile box full of material for the imagination. In it the artist saw a symbol of all of the people who have migrated from Europe to America and he drew a parallel with the Eskimo curlew decoy as a symbol of the migration of birds as they wing their way on their yearly journey. Here the two join forces to form The Migrator.
