LOOKING TOWARD EVENING
Acrylic
20 x 28 inches
Published: How To Discover Your Personal Painting Style, David P. Richards, North Light Books.

This is the second painting that the artist painted of his college roommate Rick Mark. After the artist got married, he and his wife lived in a tiny village named Stony Run. The artist used to take short trips to the surrounding countryside to fish for trout, hunt for grouse or just take hikes. On this particular afternoon he had a successful fishing trip and invited Rick over to have a trout dinner. In this painting we see Rick, having just eaten dinner, relaxing at the dinner table peering out the western window "Looking Toward Evening". A portion of the first painting of Rick, "The Visitor", is visible in the right hand corner of the painting.
